AOL users
AOL USERS: you can not use your AOL Browser to connect to the catalog.
AOL will drop your session and give you a message that you were “timed out.”
To connect to the online catalog from home:
Use AOL to connect to the Internet as you usually do. Then minimize your AOL screen (hide it at bottom of your computer screen) by clicking on the box, upper right of the computer screen, with the underline _
Next find the icon for the Internet Explorer Browser (also known as IE). The IE browser (allows you to visit Websites just like your AOL Browser does.
You can usually find the icon (which looks like the letter "e") either on your Desktop , or by clicking on the Start Button and looking at the icons that appear.
Double-click on IE to open up the browser.
In IE's Address bar, type in: http://catalog.mainlib.org
If you still have problems connecting to our Catalog, please call the Whippanong Library at 973-428-2460.
To resume your AOL session, when you have finished with catalog, just double click on small box at bottom of your screen to (re)enlarge the AOL window.
